About Vecxi

Vecxi is the premier choice for discovering digital production art and growing your visual arts collection in the space. We believe digital artworks are best represented through traditional acquisition, digital storage, and physical production for display. Our marketplace emphasizes works that are conceptual in nature and require additional directives after purchase. For most new and original artworks, we provide optional production advisory, and on occasion, we offer limited commission opportunities. Vecxi is powered by platform steward and artist Toron Smith, who aspires to pace the digital arts industry through authentic community building and collaborative artwork experiences between producers and supporters.

Digital art—physical world

The digital arts category offers a rare and unrealized opportunity for growth in the visual arts space. The value of digital works, beyond the art itself, extends through the scope of production options that the format allows. Digital artwork can live in seamless transition between mediums while maintaining the work's original integrity. And the artwork purchaser has the unique opportunity to produce their image physically in diverse ranges of dimension and scale at their leisure.

Artwork files explained

Vecxi artworks are created for download using either vector or raster based software. The following is a refresh for both formats. Vector art is digital artwork made from mathematical equations, allowing it to be scaled infinitely without losing quality. It’s ideal for graphics, icons, illustrations, and print materials that need crispness at any size, created using software programs like Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Corel Draw, and Figma, to name a few. All original Vecxi artworks are vector-formatted and created using vector applications. Raster art is digital artwork made from a grid of pixels and is ideal for making photorealistic images and complex paintings within defined dimensions. It uses universally recognized files like JPEG, PNG, and TIFF formatting. Popular raster software includes Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, GIMP, and Corel Painter. At Vecxi, we offer raster artworks as an alternative option (to vector original pieces) for digital prints in open editions.
